A Little Knowledge of Spark Plugs

Spark plug, commonly known as the nozzle, is used to discharge the pulse high-voltage electricity sent by the high-voltage wire (nozzle wire), breaking through the air between the two electrodes of the spark plug, generating an electric spark to ignite the mixed gas in the cylinder. The main types include: quasi type spark plugs, edge protruding spark plugs, electrode type spark plugs, seat type spark plugs, pole type spark plugs, surface sparking spark plugs, etc
Spark plugs are installed on the side or top of the engine. In the early days, spark plugs were connected to the power distributor through cylinder wires. In the past decade, engines in small cars have mostly been changed to have ignition coils directly connected to spark plugs. The working voltage of the spark plug is at least 10000V, and the high-voltage electricity is generated by 12V electricity generated by the ignition coil and then transmitted to the spark plug
Structure Introduction
1. Steel shell: The lower part of the steel shell has a fine thread, which is used to fit with the spark plug hole in the cylinder head. The upper part has an outer hexagonal nut, which is used to install the spark plug sleeve for tightening or screwing out the spark plug
2. The metal rod is the central electrode. The lower end of the metal rod is in contact with the upper end of the central electrode through a conductor glass body, and the upper end of the metal rod is equipped with a wiring nut
3. There is a high alumina ceramic insulator between the steel shell and the central electrode, which insulates the central electrode when energized
4. The lowest part of the steel shell is equipped with curved side electrodes
5. There is a copper washer in the middle of the outer part of the steel shell
