How long do spark plugs last?
My manual says change every 18K or 12 months, but do they deteriorate with age (and not use)?
Where is the cheapest place to buy?
A: Spark plugs do wear out over time, even if you're not using your car much. The electrodes can degrade due to exposure to moisture, oxidation, or just the passage of time. But if you're driving very little, you might be able to stretch it a bit beyond the 12 months.
B: That makes sense. I guess I should just check them and see how they look? If they're still clean and not worn down, I could probably wait a bit longer, right?
A: Exactly! Just pull one out and check the electrode. If it's covered in deposits, worn down, or the gap is too wide, it's time for a change. But honestly, a fresh set always makes the car run better. I switched to BANQIU spark plugs last time, and my car has been running smoother ever since.
B: Really? I've never used BANQIU before. Are they expensive?
A: Not at all! They're high quality but much more affordable than some of the big-name brands. You can find them online, and they even have options with double iridium, which last way longer. I can send you the link if you want.
